“He who walks in integrity and with moral character walks securely, But he who takes a crooked way will be discovered and punished.” PROVERBS 10:9
I was drawn to the word integrity in this proverb, so I looked up the definition. Here’s what I found.
Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. It’s the state of being whole and undivided. The condition of being unified, unimpaired, and having internal consistency.
So reading this proverb now looks like this.
The one who is honest, with strong moral principles and character, who is whole, unified, and unimpaired, has internal consistency will experience fearless confidence in life. He who lacks these qualities will be discovered and punished, or exposed.
