A while ago I was encouraged to begin writing. To share my ideas, and hopefully inspire someone else.
So here it goes.
Let’s start with this. I’m not a professional writer. Yet I write. I write every day. Everyday I journal my thoughts. Have been for years. I’ve filled up several Moleskine notebooks. Those books are on my book shelf along with all of the other books in my library.
The interesting thing about writing is this… it gets whatever I’m thinking about out of my brain, and onto paper. It creates thinking space. It removes some of the clutter from inside of my head. It organizes my thoughts, and I gain greater clarity. It puts me in a place where many times as soon as I write something down another thought, or idea, pops up so that my thinking advances and evolves.
I’ve long valued personal growth and development. Many people say that it’s about reading daily to gain other people’s perspective. While that’s important and can certainly help expand our thinking, I believe that there’s unlimited potential within us, and getting that potential out and into written form is a way that we can grow and develop our greatest potential.
So for me, writing is abut developing my greatest potential. That’s why I’ve started writing this blog. Let’s see what happens.
